29th March 2007 - QUB go down to Queen's in an excellent UBA Women's League Semi-Final

Hard luck to the QUB team who played an excellent game tonight and were narrowly beaten by their rivals Queen's. The game started well for the QUB side and by half time Queen's were in foul trouble and QUB were only behind by two baskets (29-33). The QUB team kept fighting back, matching basket for basket, but 10minutes later the Queen's team were still ahead. The scoreboard read 40-46 leading into the final quarter. Both teams picked up the pace and fought hard, by the end of the quarter both teams were in foul trouble but it was too late. Despite tremendous efforts on all players' parts the QUB team lost 48-62. Commiserations to all those individuals.

May we take this opportunity to wish the Queen's team all the best in the future and we hope they go on to take the win over Star of the Sea in the UBA Women's League Final.

But for us, the competitive season may be over but we will continue to hold training sessions in the PEC Minor Hall at 8pm on Tuesdays.

14th November 2006 - Victory over Jordanstown

Congratulations to the ladies who played a tough game last night against University of Ulster, Jordanstown. After normal time the QUB Ladies team was down one man but had succeded in holding their Jordanstown counterparts to a 48 point draw. It was decided to play 5 minutes of over-time to determine a winner. The Belfast girls fought hard and had earned their reward when with just two seconds to go they we're leading 58-56, that was until Jordanstown's main shooter was fouled taking a three point shot. With no time left on the clock it was down to luck and karma to determine the winners. QUB Ladies won 58-56. What a game!!
